Povoas Packaging Limited manufacture a wide range of printing and packaging products, including bags, sacks and both shrink and stretch film. Based in Northamptonshire, Povoas will upgrade their existing de Facto system to de Facto S5.
Povoas Packaging Limited was established in 1954, with the company manufacturing and supplying boxes and cartons to the hosiery industry in the Midlands. After trading successfully for nearly two decades, Povoas had the vision to introduce their first polythene extruder and bag converter. Almost overnight, the hosiery trade accepted polythene and demand for cartons ceased.
Through further investment, a new generation of superior films were made available, and Povoas Packaging became one of only a handful of UK companies to manufacture pure Linear Low Density Polythene. In March 2000 Povoas instigated their new purpose built factory in Desborough, Northamptonshire.
Povoas continually introduce new and improved products to the industrial marketplace, a typical example being the addition to the extrusion family of 'Metallocene'. This high clarity, high impact film has already shown considerable cost savings to a variety of end users. In October 2002 a wide width extrusion line was built, which greatly extended Povoas's product range.
