De
Facto Software are pleased to announce the
release of version 4.5 of de Facto S5 Accounting and ERP software.
We are very pleased to announce the latest release of de Facto
S5. de Facto S5 v4.5 is a major release, containing enhancements
and new features across the board. Some of the key developments
in v4.5 are:
Enhancements
to Logistics
PAF
- Post Code Integration
New facilities enable the access to Post Code Address Files for address, company
and individual data searching, selection and auto uploading via integration with
QuickAddress Pro. With QuickAddress Pro, just a postcode and premise number are
needed to generate complete and correctly formatted addresses, and even incomplete
or partially inaccurate data can return complete results, saving you up to 80%
on keystrokes.
QuickAddress
Pro can be further enhanced with the addition of a full name
to any specified residential address. A full address along
with the names of the people living there can be returned from
as little as a postcode and premise number. Optional data packs
are available for access to Dun & Bradsheet for access
to SIC codes, Employee numbers and more.
After
a simple server based installation of the QAS data packs, integrating
with de Facto S5 is easy to configure.
Price
List Maintenance
To assist with maintenance of price lists a number of
powerful new features have been added to S5. These include
an option
which allows the use of custom scripts
to handle the updating of prices within a list,
between multiple lists or to set other data such as the priority
supplier. A new command in the price list window allows the
importing and updating of new prices into the current displayed
version
of the price list. Outside
Processing - Purchase Order Processing
An Outside Processing facility has been added, aimed at anyone
who converts, manufactures or in any way changes a product
using outside contractors. de Facto S5 now provides an integrated
method for handling
works orders which involve the outside processing of raw materials
via a purchase order, so that within a single transaction
you
can
record the
added
cost of the outside processing.
Busy
Customer Services Window - Sales Order Processing
A new sales order processing customer window has been created to specifically
focus on the needs of busy customer services users. The window provides a non
accounting focus for all customer related activity.
The
window allows the viewing of multiple types of data simultaneously,
with new methods for inputting and updating of data. It specifically
enables the quick and easy viewing and maintenance of the
following data types
relating to a customer: Address data, Contacts, CRM Events
and Sundry customer related data.
Mailing
Control and Enquiry Source - Sales Order Processing
A new Mailing Control facility has been added to the Marketing features of
S5.
A
further facility has been created to define Media Sources, so that the particular
media source which has led to this particular sale can be recorded in
the Sales Order. This information can then be used to provide an analysis
of the success of marketing activity.
Credit
and Debit Card Processing - Sales Order Processing
WinTi from Commidea.com has now been integrated with de Facto S5. This enables
S5 to provide
a new integrated option for the handling of credit / debit
cards during sales order processing. This provides for real-time online pre-authorisation
and debiting of cards. WinTi
is suitable for use in both cardholder present and cardholder
not present situations.
WinTi
is secure, as it utilises address verification (AVS) and card
security code (CSC) validation, and is able to support multiple
merchant account processing, corporate purchasing cards and
multi-currency
processing. It allows for fast transaction authorisation.
The
de Facto S5 integration provides on-line pre-authorisation
at point of order entry, debiting of cards at point of
dispatch or invoicing and automated creation and allocation
of sales
ledger receipts.
All credit card data is held securely using 128bit 'Blowfish'
encryption, keeping customer card details confidential from
all users.
Mini
MRP Window - Sales Order Processing
de Facto S5 now provides the ability to access an MRP planning window from
within a sales order or quotation. This window allows the user to quickly see
when materials will be available to manufacture the selected products.
Put
Away Controls for Pallet Movements -
Stock Control
New Put Away options allow S5
to provide a suggested put away location for pallets. The suggestion takes
into account the product,
warehouse, and location criteria, and will select locations
using the put away order for maximum efficiency. Suggested locations
can, of course, be overridden.
Enhancements
to Production
Planning
Enhancements
The Production Planning window has had a large number of enhancements
in the v4.5 release. The new Auto Fill option checks
all Bills of Materials for required production, taking into
account demand up to the selected time slot. New options to
highlight related assemblies or components can now be
activated so that the related items will be highlighted
in both assembly and components lists. The table can be filtered
to show only the highlighted items. Other features to further
increase the productivity and ease of use of the window have
been implemented.
Labour
Booking
de Facto S5 Production now provides a flexible standard facility for booking
labour to works orders, with options for employee and activity maintenance to
facilitate
this. Operations can be added as inputs into the Bills of Materials and can then
have
labour booked against them during works order processing. The entry and posting
of a labour booking creates a record of Labour Used, and then allows this to
be
allocated as part of the normal output confirmation
process. These options will see further enhancements in de Facto S5 version v4.6
and / or v4.7.
Bill
of Material Enhancements
Bills of Materials now provides a number of new options. Waste
Percentages can be specified on the Bill of Materials resulting
in an increase in the quantity required. Setup
Quantity per input or output product can similarly be specified
on the bill of materials as either a fixed amount or a quantity
per so many units or operations. Reusable
components can now be defined on the inputs and
have the effect of returning the product back to stock after
completion of the works order. These could be used for the handling
of tooling or jigs etc.
A
library of Standard Operations or Procedures can now be defined
which can then be attached to the works order header, footer
or a
specific component or operation. The specified procedures
/ text can be output on any production output documentation. Inputs
can now have a Machine and Program specified, which can
be used for integration into direct downloads to
machinery of manufacturing programs. A
new flag has been provided to indicate if the BOM on a works
order has been modified from the original. Additional
controls to user security to control their ability to
modify materials or operations on works orders have been added.
Enhancements for Vistas
Formatting
Improvements
Considerable improvements in the formatting facilities for Vistas have been
made across a number of areas. These include 'revert to saved' functionality,
global font style settings, on-the-fly saves of changes, and improvements in
processing efficiency.
General Enhancements
ZetaFax
Integration
de Facto S5 now provides a new style of integration with ZetaFax. This is achieved
via submitting jobs as PDF files to the ZetaFax Server. Facilities include
access to all normal send options, such as cover sheets and delayed sending.
Enhancements to Job Costing
Purchase
Order Budget Checking
Job Costings has a new 'Check Job Budget in POP Entry' facility. When set,
a check on job item budgets based on POP order value will be carried out during
order entry and warnings shown on budgets being exceeded.
Enhancements to CRM
Recurring
Events Call Lists
The ease with which CRM can be used for routine calls by tele-sales staff has
been further enhanced through the incorporation of a number of additional options
for Recurring Events. Event types now allow the specifying of a default style
of recurring event, with three choices. 'Unassigned Events' creates a single
event linked to multiple occurrences, with individual events only being created
if an occurrence is modified by the user. 'Multiple Events, creates individual
events linked as a series. Finally, 'Single Event' creates a single event whose
date simply moves forward to the next date in the series each time the event
is completed.
