Oadby Plastics are a well established stockholder and processor of Industrial and Engineering Plastics. Based near Leicester, Oadby Plastics have chosen de Facto S5 as their business management and accounting solution.

Established in 1969, Oadby Plastics set out to provide a reliable, cost effective service supplying semi-finished materials. As a leading UK supplier Oadby Plastics maintain stock levels in excess of 500 tonnes from their extensive 80,000 square feet warehouse, backed up by efficient custom manufacturing facilities at their dedicated factory.

Oadby Plastics produce a variety of semi-finished products using Polyethylene, Polypropylene and U-PVC based materials. They produce a range of Conveyor Components, including the Rex line of steel and plastic chains, belts and sprockets, MCC chains, belts, curves and conveyor components, and Marbett supporting and leveling elements, bearings, chain guides, frame supports and other components. To complement their range of plastics, Oadby Plastics offer one of the largest plastics machining facilities in the UK, dedicating 25,000 square feet to bespoke manufacturing. Their investment extends to full CAD-CAM design for their selection of large router beds, to CNC mills and lathes whilst offering same day planning and cut-to-size service.

Semi-Finished Products and Machining from Oadby Plastics

The implementation of de Facto S5 will include the core Financials and Logistics suites, and the Production module. The initial implementation will be for 38 users across 3 sites, and will involve a number of enhancements to the system. The system will go live April 2006.
